Geopolitical Economy Report is an independent news outlet dedicated to producing investigative journalism and original analysis to understand the changing world. It was founded by journalist Ben Norton in 2022. It has no institutional support or large donors. Their work is funded entirely by small donations from individual supporters. The choice of topics and analysis are not confined by western corporate gatekeepers, thus providing important perspectives that are largely unavailable in corporate echo chambers.
The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists tells stories that punch through the noise, showing how the world really works, triggering positive change. The ICIJ is driven by the belief that citizens have the right to be better informed, that access to independently-sourced facts is not only essential for democracy but is also a fundamental human right.
